Join the Reno Bike Project this summer for a Bicycle Tour across Nevada

We are organizing a ride across Nevada this summer and we want you to join us!

An officially sanctioned ride by the Adventure Cycling Association, the ride will begin in Reno, travel along highway 50, and end at Great Basin National Park. Come see, amazing landscapes, visit historic Nevada, and experience the wonders of petroglyphs.

Date: Tentative Scheduling for July

Riders should be prepared to not only experience the beauty of Nevada but its extremes: weather, terrain, and miles (miles traveled per day 50-80 miles).

Equipment: A good, well-maintained, bicycle for on road use that can handle the weights and conditions is essential.

CHECK OVER YOUR BIKE AT THE RENO BIKE PROJECT WITH ONE OF THEIR FRIENDLY STAFF TO MAKE SURE YOUR RIDE IS READY FOR THE ROAD!

Biography: The tour leader is Addison Wilhite, a long-time cyclist who followed this route last year and had such a good time he wants to help others enjoy the amazing Nevada landscape by bicycle.

Reno Bike Project is proud to announce their 2nd Annual Bike Swap and Bike Day.

May 22, 2010 West Street Market.

A full day of swapping, fun, education and beer.

This all day event will kick off with a bike swap and continue through out the day with music, educational seminars with local organizations, events for youth, Do-It-Yourself Presentations and refreshments. Stay tuned as details continue to develop.

Vendor sign in starts at 9a.m. and the public will be admitted at 10a.m.

Vendor rentals: $50 10’ x 10’ (includes one day Reno Business license)

Consignment for items available with 15% of sale to benefit Reno Bike Project.

Drop off items any time at Reno Bike Project. 541 e. 4th st.

What: Bike Swap and Bike Day celebration.

When: Saturday May, 22 2010 * Swap 9am-3pm / Bike Day 10pm-3pm
