Urban Outfitters Bikes

Posted by Andrea under: bikes .

Please purchase for Andrea the intern.http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/category.jsp?popId=APARTMENT&navAction=poppushpush&isSortBy=true&navCount=21&pushId=APARTMENT_WHATSNEW&id=A_COLL_BIKEGATEWAY

In my pathetic attempts of convincing someone to buy me new bike, I stumbled across this page off the Urban Outfitters website. UO has got together with Republic Bikes to offer online buyers a complete fixed / single gear Aristotle bicycle for about $350. I can now buy myself a semi-custom bike from the place where I get my favorite t-shirts.

Although I think that this is a wonderful idea, I wonder how popular these bikes have been. These are great bikes, but wouldn’t you rather support your local shop instead?

But still, someone is more than welcome to purchase one for me. The 52cm in Skyan. Thanks.

I don’t know if I would call them great bikes. You get what you pay for based on the advertised spec. I want to say they are just slightly nicer than the schwinn cutters. But there are definatly plenty of more affordable entry level track bikes than there were a few years ago. Bikes like the winsor hour and the torker u-district. At least they are cro-mo. And just about every steel bike for under $1000 is manufactured by maxway anyway, so you’re really just compareing components.

I like to support local shops too but that looks like a sweet bike.
