Women with Wrenches August 30th 7p.m.

Posted by Kyle under: Uncategorized.

Reno Bike Project’s Ladies’ Night, Women-with-Wrenches, is held on the last Monday of every month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 541 East 4th Street at the RBP Community Bike Shop.

This is a great way for women to learn and work on their bicycles in a supportive and open environment.  Each month a volunteer mechanic will demonstrate a new topic in bicycle maintenance. This workshop has an informal structure. The volunteer mechanic will begin the evening with a demonstration and brief discussion topic, but essentially those in attendance guide the evening based on their interests and needs; learning how to repair and maintain their bicycles at their individual pace.

This Months Topic:  Oiling and Cleaning

The cost is free. Participants must have their own bicycles. Reno Bike Project will provide tools.

If you have any questions call (775) 323-4488 or e-mail renobikeproject@gmail.com.

P.S. pass this along to friends who may be interested.

Build A BIke Class Sept. 7th and 14th

Posted by Kyle under: Uncategorized.

RBP’s Build-A-Bike is a structured class, taught the first two Tuesdays of every month by experienced mechanics with a real enthusiasm for wrenching and all things bicycle.  The next class will be held September 7th and 14th at the Reno Bike Project Community Bike Shop at 541 East 4th Street. At a total cost of $50.00 for both classes, attendees learn how to completely tune up their own bicycles.  A 2:1 ratio of student to teacher allows each student to have one-on-one like guidance as they develop skills in the basics of bicycle mechanics, and gain a true familiarity with the bicycle shop and tools.

Cost is $50.00. Participants must have their own bicycles. Reno Bike Project will provide tools.

If you have any questions or would like to reserve a spot in the class please call (775) 323-4488 or e-mail renobikeproject@gmail.com.

p.s. Please pass this along to others who may be interested. Thank you.
